Advanced Imaging Programs

​CT Program​

The Computerized Tomography (CT) program is for Registered Radiologic technologists. The curriculum consists of a 3-hour classroom lecture each week for 20 weeks with lectures taught by Renee Graves, an experienced and respected educator. Students will be required to complete a minimum of 16 hours per week in a clinical site. Clinical sites will be assigned on a first-come-first-serve basis: those that hand in completed applications and all required documents will be given the first choice of clinical assignment. The student will be provided with the fundamentals needed to enter the field as an entry-level CT technologist. Upon completion of all academic and clinical requirements, RCSJ will award a certificate of completion and students will be eligible to sit for the CT certification exam. This course is approved for 54.5 ARRT CE credits.

In addition to the application, eligible applicants must pass a background check (initiated by the college) and provide:
 
  • Proof of current ARRT certification
  • Copy of a current CPR certification
  • Proof of current immunizations
  • Documentation of a recent 10-panel drug screen

MRI Program​

The MRI Program is available to radiologic technologists who want to enhance their careers in advanced imaging. To be eligible for this program you must have graduated from an accredited radiography program and passed the ARRT Certification Examination. The course consists of both didactic and clinical components. Students will meet once a week for 2.5 - 3-hours live online (Zoom) and complete a minimum of 16 hours per week in a clinical site. The student will be provided with the fundamentals needed to enter the field as an entry-level MRI technologist.

Upon completion of all the academic and clinical requirements, Rowan College of South Jersey will award a certificate of completion and students will be eligible to sit for the MRI certification exam. This course is approved for ARRT 69 CE credits.​​​
